This truly is a post about nothing. I was just testing out my new signature. Thanks Steph, for helping me with all this Photoshop stuff!
As I mentioned in my previous post my girls were camping with my parents and I was going up on Friday after work. My grandpa (mom's dad), Wayne Madsen, was also going up on Friday. I don't know if I'll ever post everything that happened but on Saturday, July 10th, as we were headed home on 4 wheelers after a day of fishing my grandpa rolled his 4 wheeler and passed away a short time later. Watching my mom grieve for her father while we were waiting for rescue personnel to get to our location is one of the worst things I have witnessed in my life. It took hours to get everything taken care of and his body transported to the closest hospital which was in Gunnison. By the time we got home it was around midnight. Today I was at my grandmas house for about 10 hours with family as we are processing this loss and trying to plan his memorial service. Tomorrow will be filled with more planning while we wait for family members who live out of state to begin arriving. Not sure what else to write at this time. Just keep my family in your prayers and appreciate every moment you have with those you love.
Hello everyone,
I really don't have much too say here except that I am up extremely late for me (I'm going to hate myself tomorrow because I'm normally in bed by 9:30....) Anyway, I have been out in blog world and realized that I have seriously neglected my own little piece of the internet. I really have every intention of catching up on what's been going on with us (end of school/trip to Idaho, Maegan's baptism)but I must admit that I am being really selfish right now! I have been spending all my free time with my nose in a book I haven't really wanted to take the time to do anything else. I think I'm on my 9th book since the beginning of June. It's pretty bad when we're at the store and the girls are starting to recognize the authors I like. The girls have been gone 15 days out of about the last 22.....maybe that's why I've been able to read so much. They've been with Sean most of the time but right now they are camping with my mom and dad. I will join them on Friday. Well, just know that we are all happy and healthy and enjoying our summer!
